Coronavirus: Emeryville temporarily closes part of Doyle

EMERYVILLE — Emeryville has begun temporarily closing part of Doyle Street to vehicular traffic to give residents another option for where to exercise during the coronavirus pandemic, the city announced on its website.

The city’s aim is to free up streets for pedestrians and bicyclists to engage in safe social distancing, according to a news release.

The temporary closures will be:

  • Doyle Street from 59th and 61st streets, restricted to one-way vehicular traffic;
  • Doyle Street from 61st to 62nd streets, closed to vehicular traffic;
  • Doyle Street from 62nd to 64th streets, restricted to one-way vehicular traffic; and
  • Doyle Street from 64th to Ocean streets, closed to vehicular traffic.
