A car has crashed into the gate of German Chancellor Angela Merkel‘s office in Berlin, according to Reuters.
The news agency said there were no immediate reports of casualties.
Photos from the scene posted to social media showed a car with its trunk open surrounded by emergency services.
The words “You damn children and old people murderers” were seen written on side of the car in German.
Merkel has been scheduled to host a video conference with German state premiers on Wednesday morning where an extension to the lockdown was due to be discussed.
