Denver Broncos (+10) over NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

I know we’re not supposed to go against Bill Belichick off a loss (but it’s 2020, and the old rules don’t always apply) and Cam Newton is back, but the Patriots still shouldn’t be double-digit favorites here. Starting QB Drew Lock might be back for the Broncos as well as RB Phillip Lindsay, TE Noah Fant and CB A.J. Bouye. If Brett Rypien gets the call at QB, he did rip up the Jets in a 37-28 win in Week 4’s Thursday night game. Gimme the generous points!

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (+7.5) over Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens pretty much have cruised in their four wins (losing only to the defending-champion Chiefs), so that makes them scary to fade. However, the Eagles came through for us in Week 4 with their upset of the 49ers and should have covered against the Steelers in Week 5, so they’re better than their 1-3-1 record. Frankly, they’re better than the teams the Ravens have been dominating (with the possible exception of the Browns in Week 1) and should be competitive enough to stay within a touchdown.

Last week: 2-0, Browns (W), Dolphins (W).
2020 season: 3-6-1.
