Coronavirus: Bay Area’s deadliest week of pandemic fueled by Alameda County

The 121 deaths in the Bay Area over the past week are the most the region has experienced during any seven-day period of the pandemic. Since the start of the month, Alameda County has accounted for 46% of the reported fatalities in the region, including a record Tuesday.
