Valparaiso University shows COVID-19 spike; classes return to online and campus activities canceled through March 14

“Only a few of these positive individuals are symptomatic,” she said, adding contact tracing of individuals who tested positive resulted in an average of six to seven direct contacts per individual. Based on the results of the contact tracing, the university determined that additional measures were necessary to limit the spread of the virus within the community, leading to the switch to online classes.
