I liked Flonase (regular) just fine, but wasn’t crazy about the smell (and how it kinda post-nasal dripped into my mouth, ick), and my allergist recommended this to me anyway because I’m prone to nosebleeds and sensory overload. I gotta say, this fixes everything that I didn’t know bothered me about Flonase. The bottle shape and mechanism encourages proper placement of the medicine (away from your septum), and is easier to use. The mist is finer and less jarring, there is no smell/taste at all, and much less residual sniffling. It’s easier to see how much is left, and the cap is secure for travel. (But you do have to squeeze it pretty hard, but that’s probably a good thing for child safety and not accidentally falling off). I don’t know yet whether this will help my nosebleeds, but will report back.My recommendations: (always first shake the bottle) and then to open the cap, think of it more as a squeeze/pinch motion and less pulling. Then for administering, use opposite hand for each nostril: right hand to spray into your left nostril, left hand to spray into right nostril. This will make it easy to direct the spray towards the wall of your nose rather than the septum by accident.

I used Allegrea for many years, and while it worked…I still felt pretty bad, but I didn’t know why. Out of desperation, I bought this Flonase to try something different. Within 48 hours, I felt so much better. I wasn’t tired anymore, and I wasn’t experiencing the world through a permenant brain-fog. I can’t recommend this stuff enough.

The misting mechanism on this bottle is a poor delivery system. I never felt like enough was going in my nose. Sometimes when you press the side button, nothing comes out. You hear the click and you think something is coming out, but nothing is, and you are not getting protection from allergy symptoms. I wish I could return and get a refund.

I originally purchased a 3-pack of sensimist from Costco. These bottles contained 15.8 mL and indicated 120 sprays per bottle. The photo on this site also states 15.mL per bottle.CAUTION: READ THE BOTTLE AMOUNTS CAREFULLY. LOOK AT ENLARGED PHOTOS OF THE BOTTLES. Actual contents are not always what is in the bottles. This photo shows 3 bottles of 15.8 mL each BUT i received 1 bottle of 15.8 mL and 2 bottles of less than 10mL each. All bottles claimed 120 sprays each. I returned the items as this did not make sense. Then I went back to Costco to check what they are now selling and found that they also had a package of 3 bottles, each having 9.6 mL, indicating 120 sprays per bottle. So I concluded (hopefully) that the medicine was now more concentrated and each spray only required almost half of the original solution. I am going to monitor the number of sprays once i begin the use of a new bottle. I will add to this review if I find the number of sprays is not as indicated.

I got to say, I have tried literally everything for allergy relief from Clariton to Allegra to Zyrtec, and Benadryl. None would work. I was a little skeptical about trying these nasal sprays mainly because I do not like the smell the medicine makes going into my nostril. But WOW what have I been missing. Flonase Sensimist is amazing. I got this Sunday and it’s been already 3 days and my syptoms the day before (Saturday) were runny nose, itchy eyes, and feeling congested. The first day I took this stuff I didnt work so I gave it time and the next day I was syptom free.. that’s how fast it worked for me. It was like I was cured of my allergies. Like I said it’s been four days and I feel cured. Hopefully I stay that way! Get this if you need fast relief!

The other family members have terrible seasonal allergies. Poor dears, they’re absolutely insufferable with all their sneezing and tearing and sniffling and eye-rubbing and whining. On doctors advice, for yeaes during spring and summer they have a daily regimen of levoceterizine, fluticasone, and some eye drops when it gets really rough. And that keeps their symptoms down for everyone to get their work done and rest at night. But we always had a compliance problem with traditional Flonase. I wad told the direct spray was uncomfortable, and the scent– floral? beery?– was unpleasant. Plus they often got nose bleeds due to the sprays irritating qualities. This Sensimist delivery system solved all the problems. They tell me the mist is gentle and even. The absence of fragrance was very welcome too. Now everyone (except me) uses their Flonase diligently and this spring has been much easier for everyone.

I have multiple typical allergies and have used the original version of Flonase for years every night before bed, and thought I’d give this a try. I have to admit, I’m going back. The delivery system on this is awkward to hold and use and frankly, you can’t feel the mist at all or even know if it’s coming out, unlike the original version where you both definitely feel it and know it’s working! Did not like this at all.

I can actually use Flonase now because it doesn’t have irritating fragrances (that you then have to put up your sensitive nose). I’m not sure if he Flonase itself is making a huge difference in my allergies yet, but at least I can give it a try in the Sensimist iteration.
