  1. Dr. BuBu

Of course, I bought this Camu Camu for its benefits. I’ve been having different things for about two years, from cancer to breaking bones. Most medications have so many side effects. At one point one just need to get over it. Using superfoods is the most natural way. Superfoods is a marketing label used to name foods that are high in vitamins and minerals, etc. Recently I read a study that suggested humans absorb vitamins way better through eating healthy food (vs. pills)So this powder arrived this morning in an envelope of proper size. The Camu Camu container bag has a zipper, but the zipper didn’t work.It was funny the feeling I had just before trying it for the first time. I had no idea how to consume this “stuff”. Could I add it to my coffee? Will I be happy with my cup of coffee if I do that? Well, it has a tart taste but not strongly bitter.I mentioned my health issues. What brought me to Camu Camu (the first superfood I try) are its many various ingredients and benefits. In short it seems Camu Camu is loaded with iron, niacin, riboflavin, phosphorus, potassium, beta-carotene, calcium and amino acids, like leucine, serine, thiamine and valine.Vitamin C: Massive amounts of vitamin C. One teaspoon of camu camu powder has 1180 per cent of your recommended daily intake. Vitamin C is used to stimulates blood cell production, works as an anti-inflammatory, boost the immune system, is key component of collagen used to repair and develop cells, tissue and organs, like gum health among others.Valine: An amino acid used to prevent muscle breakdown, great for the nervous system and cognition.Potassium: Required for the proper functioning of the heartLeucine: An amino acid used for muscle and bone tissue growth and recovery and the production of growth hormones.Serine: Another amino acid, for digestion. Serine helps breaking down the bonds of proteins and polypeptides.Flavonoids: natural flavoring and coloring, helpful as antioxidant and neutralizing harmful free radicals.Gallic Acid: natural anti-fungal and anti-viral.Ellagic Acid: antioxidant.Which translates into various properties for the repair and wellbeing of our bodies:-Cognitive: Increases memory, attention and concentration. Prevents cognitive deterioration such as those in dementias (ie Alzheimer).-As an anti/inflammatory agent helps soothe arthritis, hemorrhoids, headaches.-Lots of antioxidants that help prevent cancer.-Sedative for balancing mood swings and soothe anxiety and depression, like during menopause.-Antiviral and antibacterial that boosts our immune system.-Infertility prevention.-Boost metabolism and helps protect and grow muscle tone.-Generous in vitamin A (carotenoids) to prevent eye deterioration-Rebuilds collagen in tissue, which would make your face glow and your hair shine in an overall younger look.Who shouldn’t take Camu Camu: Everyone should check with their doctors or let them know you are taking this superfood. Check the ingredients of other vitamins you are taking and avoid overload. As with anything, having too much can be as bad as having too little. Studies suggest excessive amount of vitamin C result in digestive ulcers and kidney problems. I’m planning to take a break every so many days. In his website Dr Oz suggest pregnant women and individuals that are undergoing chemotherapy should be specially careful when taking Camu Camu. How to take it? Straight up for some, or any type of smoothie, jello, ice-cream… If you want to mix it with juice or something else, be aware that Camu Camu doesnt disolve as quick as sugar. Just be patient and let it rest in the juice for a while. That worked for me.I bought my Camu Camu at full price. If you found this review to be useful, please let me know. I don’t get anything from it other than the pleasure of knowing I’ve been helpful.

I tried this with honey and hot water to combat a very sore throat (I also took some ginger and garlic). Placebo effect or not, the next day my sore throat was gone! Also, maybe my palate is not as refined as others’ but the bitter taste that was indicated to be expected was not there for me.

The second Terrasoul product I’ve purchased from Amazon, and highest praises for both companies. The powder of this Amazonian (double meaning ordering from this site) berry is probably the only way us Americans will ever try it, and with a bitter taste, I’d bet not many will like it. Try stirring a half teaspoon in some apple cider or OJ. I love it, and with it’s epic levels of C, it is part of my morning routine during cold & flu season for the past few years. The 3.5 oz bag, using 1/2 teaspoon/day, lasts about one month. You may think it’s expensive, but consider that it is a natural source, interesting and exotic, and compare it to popping fake sugar-coated laboratory projects in pill form, and the costs associated with that.

I ordered a 2 pack of the Terrasoul camu powder. One package did not seal properly on the top edge when it was sealed at the manufacturers (I have pics). The camu powder spilled all over. I tried to return it, but Amazon says it is a non-returnable item. Upset that I spent $9 on a package (2 for $18). One of which I have to throw away. If I would have known there was no return policy, I would not have purchased it. Buyer beware.

I ordered this product when the Camu Camu product I usually order was out of stock with CurEase. I will give you the pros and cons comparing the Terrasoul Camu Camu to the CurEase Camu Camu:Terrasoul is a brown bitter, powder. CurEase is a pale pink and slight sweet.powder.Terrasoul does not mix well in room temperature or cold beverages. CurEase mixes well in room temperature and cold beverages. I have never tried to mix either powder in hot beverages because I thought heat might affect the integrity of the product. The zip closure on the Terrasoul failed within the first few days of use. I had to empty the Terrasoul product into a glass jar with a tight lid. I have ordered the CurEase product many times and I have never had the zip closure fail to seal completely.

  6. Peace Love & Happiness

Every time I feel like I am getting sick I take about a tablespoon in a little water twice a day, and every time I am better the next day! I probably should just take it routinely to get my natural Vitamin C, but I rarely do. I even had an infection that 3 rounds of antibiotics did not cure, and this stuff got rid of it! I tell everyone about this miracle fruit that I care about. Taking this every day or several times a week, or even when you don’t feel too well will probably save lots of $$ with doctor visits.

I use this everyday in my green smoothies. It adds a tiny citrus flavor and makes my smoothies taste very fresh. I love how much vitamin C it has in it! I feel so great eating it knowing how much it is helping my body with all its antioxidant power. I will continue to buy this brand and use it in my daily morning smoothies!

The powder itself is fine. The complaint I have is with the packaging. The bottom of the package has a really BIG crease/fold in it instead of a flatter bottom. This is problematic when you’re trying to get the last of the powder out of the bag. My husband has to measure specific amounts of the powder out, so he can’t just tip it into the glass and hope for the best – and getting a teaspoon in there to get the powder is a pain in the neck. And, believe me, for what you pay for this stuff you want to get every last little bit out of it.
