Four years after branching out to the Bay Area, Mendocino Farms — a seasonal sandwich and salad market — has opened its eighth location in the region.

The Mountain View restaurant started serving at lunchtime today at the Village at San Antonio Center.

Owners Ellen Chen and Mario Del Pero (they’re NorCal expats, and she’s a native of Lafayette) began expanding their Southern California operation to the Bay Area in late 2017. They’ve now opened in Campbell, San Jose, San Mateo, San Ramon, Palo Alto and San Francisco (two). Coming in early October will be an Oakland delivery kitchen.

Mendo Farms partners with sustainable California farm and culinary artisans and changes the menu seasonally. This Mountain View location is featuring three new global grain bowls — Chimichurri Steak & Shishito Bowl, Smoky Chicken Elote Bowl and Mediterranean Chicken Bowl — along with Mrs. Goldfarb’s Unreal Reuben, made with plant-based corned beef
from Unreal Deli, and a new Chimichurri Steak & Bacon Sandwich.

Seasonal additions include two new side dishes, Wild Rice Salad with Butternut Squash and Apples and Togarashi Green Beans with Tofu.

Several local wines and craft beers are available.
