House Democrats said Tuesday that they will force a vote Friday on a $3 trillion coronavirus relief bill.
The more than 1,800-page bill was released Tuesday and is seen by Republicans as a unilateral wish-list that is sure to go nowhere in the GOP-led Senate.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) issued a notice that the House will consider the bill at 9 am on Friday, along with a rules change to allow lawmakers to work remotely.
A fourth large coronavirus relief bill, expanding small-business loans and giving funds for hospitals and testing, passed in April.
