Coronavirus is still raging in Florida, with 2,610 new cases recorded on Wednesday.

The latest statistics, released by state health officials, come a day after the state saw a record 2,783 cases of COVID-19 — and include 25 new deaths.

That brings the total number of cases in the Sunshine State to 82,719, with 3,018 dead.

Three of the latest deaths were in Miami-Dade County, two in Broward and six in Palm Beach County, Local 10 reported.

Of those tested for the first time in the state, 10.3 percent were positive for coronavirus.

On Tuesday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said the state wouldn’t slow down reopening efforts despite the surge in cases since the state entered Phase 1 in mid-May.
