Colorado health officials on Tuesday reported 143new COVID-19 infections across the state.
There were 29,442 cases of the new coronavirus as of Monday, up from 29,299 the day before, according to the latest data from the state Department of Public Health and Environment.
No new COVID-19 deaths have been confirmed. There is a lag in death certificate data so it can take several days for the agency to get that information.
Overall,1,617people have died with COVID-19 in their system, which is is an increase of 12 people since Sunday.
Daily hospitalization numbers weren’t available for Tuesday, but they have remained relatively flat since last week with 161 people hospitalized on Monday, according to the health department and the Colorado Hospital Association.comment=”cq”]
In total, 5,272 people have been hospitalized for the respiratory disease caused by the new coronavirus.
